Soliloquy – The act of talking to oneself

Tomfoolery – Foolish or silly behavior

Ballyhoo – a clamorous and vigorous attempt to win customers or advance any cause; blatant advertising or publicity.

Monday Word Revival 1

pic_haberdasheryThere are some really awesome words out there that are rarely used. I say we have a revival of these words! It’s time to dust them off and bring them into our day-to-day vocabulary. First off:

Darn Tootin’ - I love guys saying this. I don’t know why. It’s much better if there’s a wink that follows this.

Haberdashery
– The definition is someone who sells men’s clothes. However.. I think this word could be replaced for confused or overwhelmed. Example: “This party is a haberdashery!” or “Our conversation is a haberdashery of ideas.”
